As seen on Facebook

[Scroll down for DAY 3 of The Love Dare!]

[posted this on Facebook, thought I would add it here as well!]

1. I can make myself sleep. Sometimes even if I am not tired I will make myself take a nap because I enjoy them that much.

2. I can too easily cut people out of my life.

3. If I could say one thing to the person that hurt me the most it would be, "Thank You" I never would be where I am if it wasn't for the pain they caused me.

4. I could eat Pizza Hut hand tossed extra cheese pizza every. single. day. Or sushi..mmm.

5. I have never had a cavity or broken bone. Growing up I always wanted a broken bone so people could sign my cast.

6. I truly am afraid of freaky voices. The WORST prank ever pulled on me involved a weird voice. I bawled.

7. I worry about dying too young. I want to have babies first, please :0)

8. I don't like many breakfast foods--I have never eaten more than a bite.

9. I failed the "signs" part of the driving test the first time I took it because the red octagon didn't have the word "STOP" on it and I had heard how the DMV tried to trick you, so I put that you just had to yield and look for traffic. The machine went black and I cried.

10. My mom is my best friend. I keep telling her when she passes I will stuff her.

11. I research the economy, and LOVE working from home. And am excited about my photography business, but don't consider that a job!

12. I could stare at the stars for hours.

13. I got my first tattoo when I was 16, without my parents permission. Received my second (which was an addition to the first one) the week of my 18th birthday, and the third in April of this past year. I want just oneeee more.

14. I could eat cheese on any food.

15. It's hard for me to drink iced-water without a straw..but if I have a straw I can't put it down.

16. I can't see without my contacts.

17. I write everything down. I have endless lists laying around.

18. I love my dog more than I thought I would.

19. I am a totally different person when I sleep, especially if you wake me up. I don't realize what I am doing or what I am saying but I can be very, very, very mean.

20. I am on my computer more hours out of the day than not.

21. I think any cop is sexy. I can't decide if it's the uniform, or gun. :0) ..and to think David ALMOST went into the State Police program..ha!

22. I literally have two "different" thumbs. One is longer than the other, the shorter one even has a different sized nail on it. I'll take a picture sometime. My aunt has two of the 'short' ones, and I got blessed with only one.

23. I am glad that I have different sized thumbs than different sized eyes.

24. I LOVE to run.

25. I talk in my sleep. A lot.I'm trying to figure out a way for David to record me without me knowing so I can see what it truly is like to sleep beside a crazy person every night.

Pampering your man

Do you know that guys like to be pampered just as much as girls do? (If not MORE!) I really do think that by showing some extra love to your man, it lets them know how much you adore and appreciate them. Here's a short NONSEXUAL list (because everyone knows how to please their man behind closed doors. However, if this list leads to amazing s - e - x then you are welcome!) ((I spaced out the s - e - x because I don't want people typing that in google and coming upon my blog!)):
  • Fixing their plate for dinner. I do this every night..one night I was so hungry that I just sat down and started eating, and David thought something was wrong. It isn't "woman in kitchen-cook meal" type of thing.. I fix his plate because he appreciates it every time I do it..and that makes me smile.
  • Clip his toenails. (After he showers of course!) This one may seem gross to some, but I don't think there is a greater joy than a man laying on the couch getting his toes "did". After I clip them, I rub some of my lotion on them and give him a quick foot massage--which he loves. He would NEVER go to a spa like I would, so this is his own little spa. Put the yummy smelling lotion on them..he wont notice and you'll smile knowing he smells a little fruity :)
  • Back massages. Lotion or massage oil works great. If you don't have time for that, or just don't want to use either-just rub your fingers over his back-it'll make him go to sleep like a baby.
  • Cheer him on. I'm sure he's got a PS2, PS3, Wii, xbox..something! He probably spends a decent amount of time in front of it. David plays a football game on the PS3 usually every night (which is the reason I am glad we have 2 TVs) but sometimes I'll sit on the couch and watch him play acting like his own personal cheerleader..Even though I think the game is dumb, I am taking interest in something he likes.
  • Pray for him. This is perhaps the most important. I prayed for him before I ever met him, and I still pray for him, our marriage, our future.
  • Don't criticize or contradict him around others. People don't want to see you two bickering. Save it for behind closed doors. It could blow up a lot bigger than it should if you make him embarrassed around people, just bite your tongue and save it for later.
  • Take care of yourself. Put some makeup on, get your hair done (if you can't afford the salon, fix it nice yourself!), exercise a couple of times a week...those things probably don't matter to your husband because he'll love you no matter what but he will notice the extra pep in your step.
  • Help him shave. For Dave, hair is gross. (Which is FINE by me!! I am not a fan of chest hair) So occasionally he'll ask me to touch up his back. Which makes his muscles look bigger :0)
  • Tell him you love him. Every.Single.Day.

List of things..

Things that suck:
-VIRGINIA.
-Getting a call from the doctor about your blood work. The conversation went like this:
Hi, this is Megan & I am returning your call concerning my blood work.
"Hi Megan, looking at your bloodwork we have some bad news..you have diabetes."
I was like Oh mY GoDDdd.
"Hold on a second, I am looking at the wrong chart. You DO NOT have diabetes, but you do have high cholesterol."
How does one in their early twenties have high cholesterol? Yeah, I have no idea either. I don't eat that bad, and I exercise regularly. (Although now I am going to exercise every day) I was pretty bummed about that, in fact I even cried. A big part of it is hereditary, and it runs wild in my family. Looks like I better stock up on the Cheerios. So far they aren't putting me on medicine, but I do have to go back in three months.
-My Car. Today, when I was driving I went to come to a nice stop and the car made a really loud noise and stopped immediately. It did that twice, it was very weird.

Because this isn't a pity party..here are some good things:
1- It wasn't diabetes. I think that is way harder to control than high cholesterol.
2- At least I have a car. Even though I want a new one..it still gets me to the bank to cash my check.

Over Achevier: Top 10 List & Write

Back for Mama Kat's assignment! I decided to do two, although the second one isn't mine--I found some pretty funny top ten lists and had to share!

"
WHY DO YOU WRITE?" That one is easy smeasy! Although I blogged before I left DC, I definitely do it more now. I had a lot of people to hang out with in DC (I know, Ms. Popular here! jk) and do not know that many people that live in Chester. Luckily, a good amount of David's family is right down the street a lot of my friends from college are about an hour & half away, and my family is about that far as well. So, I write to keep myself from cutting in the shower and crying because I have no friends. Just. Kidding. Don't freak out and call the cops on me. I seriously do think of each of you as my blogland friends and I wish you all lived closer!

~~I also picked, "You've been hired as a writer for "Late Show with David Letterman." Your first assignment is to come up with a witty, nonpolitical Top Ten list for him to read on air."
