List of things..

Things that suck:
-VIRGINIA.
-Getting a call from the doctor about your blood work. The conversation went like this:
Hi, this is Megan & I am returning your call concerning my blood work.
"Hi Megan, looking at your bloodwork we have some bad news..you have diabetes."
I was like Oh mY GoDDdd.
"Hold on a second, I am looking at the wrong chart. You DO NOT have diabetes, but you do have high cholesterol."
How does one in their early twenties have high cholesterol? Yeah, I have no idea either. I don't eat that bad, and I exercise regularly. (Although now I am going to exercise every day) I was pretty bummed about that, in fact I even cried. A big part of it is hereditary, and it runs wild in my family. Looks like I better stock up on the Cheerios. So far they aren't putting me on medicine, but I do have to go back in three months.
-My Car. Today, when I was driving I went to come to a nice stop and the car made a really loud noise and stopped immediately. It did that twice, it was very weird.

Because this isn't a pity party..here are some good things:
1- It wasn't diabetes. I think that is way harder to control than high cholesterol.
2- At least I have a car. Even though I want a new one..it still gets me to the bank to cash my check.

Yeah, just eat Cheerios and oatmeal like a champ and it'll go down. My brother has had diabetes since age 5 and I am terrified me or my son will get it, too.

Oh man! I know you'll get it all under control. You are a perfect example of it not being about your weight - and moreso about your genes.

I don't think Obama will be able to do what he said he wanted to do - healthcare - I don't want the govt determining what and when I can have something done.

I'm just going to try my hardest to accept him and believe that 4 years isn't enough time to get us out of the mess we're in and change everything about us at the same time!

Yeah - VA threw me for a loop! I was nearly shocked

Obama isn't for socialized healthcare. Do you like your current health insurance? Under his plan you can keep it and nothing changes. ;)

whew. glad to hear it's not diabetes. Diabetes runs in my family and it has started at a very young age.

OH my word - I can't believe they told you that you had diabetes when you had high cholestoral! That is so scary!!! I would have been freaking out. I'm sorry about the cholestrol bit though ... you will get it under control. Because you're awesome!

Go to bed early and try for a better day tomorrow. That has been my solution for bad days. ;)

Megan, I'm sorry you have high cholesterol...but that's much better than finding out you have diabetes. Stock up on the Cheerios and Oatmeal.

Thank HEAVENS it wasn't diabetes. That is so much more difficult to control.
My SIL had high cholesteral in her early thirties and she got it completely under control by adjusting her diet just a bit.

Oh girl. I know you must be feeling way worse about this than you're even letting on. Trust me. I know. My Dad suffers from heart disease and high cohlesteral. He had tripple bipass when I was only in 6th grade. So, obviously, I have to get checked all the time.

You are obviously fit and healthy. So, don't get too down.

But, oatmeal oatmeal oatmel!!! It REALLY helps. Every morning.
