Biggest Fears

I decided to participate in Mama's Losin' It Writers Workshop.. (The prompt was to do 10, but I didn't want to add things just to add them, I think these are all of my fears)

My biggest fears:
  • Dying. Before I have children, before I have a chance to experience more of life, and before I am old and wrinkly with my own grandchildren.
  • Losing my mother. (not even going to put the D word here) My mother is my best friend. I talk to her at least once a day (more like at least 2-3 times) We tell each other everything. I didn't have such a good relationship with her when I was growing up, but I am so fortunate I snapped out of that, she is the best. I told her when she "is lost" I am going to stuff her. (kidding!!)
  • Frogs. Yup. I said it. I used to have a really big wart (I was too scared to get it frozen off, finally I did) and had always heard warts came from touching frogs..needless to say, I am still scared of them.
  • Getting too hot. When I get hot I feel like I am going to pass out, and have passed out a time or two.
  • Being poor. We were not well off when I was growing up. At least not until my mom remarried..then--well, then we were good :) I work hard. (Except for my breaks to blog) and at times have been known to carry three jobs just to make sure I have enough money for things. (Like school..not talking about buying the latest fashions)
  • Making phone calls. I really hate calling a new place. I fear I will stumble over my words. I don't even like calling to order a pizza!
  • Changes. I am a scheduler and an organizer. I like to know what is happening when.

My biggest fear is losing my husband. He had a fairly dangerous job in the past, and I actually had to see a therapist for anxiety about it. Fun!

I'm right there with you on the loosing of the parents and the change.

Oh lord am I a list and scheduler. I don't think I have an ounce of spontanaity in me. I'm workin on it though! Especially since Caleb is super adventorous!

I realized I just spelled a million things wrong, but I don't care.

yep, losing my mother is one of my biggest fears. Definitely. She is my best friend and biggest supporter. I think I would be admitted to a crazy house if I lost her too soon. :(

When my grandmother passed away, my mom buried her with a telephone, something she had told her she would do since she was young. that's so sweet you're so close with your mum. Adorable blog!

I also fear getting too hot! I also feel like I am going to pass out! I absolutely HATE that feeling!

I also hate making phone calls! HATE it!

Here from Musings from Left Field...I'm afraid of being poor too...and I held FOUR jobs in college (full time college) to make it. I never want to be that poor again.

I too hate the phone...I make my hubby do all the pizza orders!

I live in Virginia...

Visiting from Mama Kat's...

I have a fear of making phone calls, too! The first time I called my husband, I got his answering machine. I hung up, wrote out the message I wanted to leave (after several drafts!), and then called back and left my scripted message!

Some of your fears are EXACTLY like mine. Especially the first 2! I tell my mom I am going to stuff her :) ha! i enjoyed reading this!

I can so relate to all of these! Except maybe frogs, but that's ok! These are very legitimate fears!

If I had to do a list, mine would look exactly like yours, and I am not exaggerating....minus the fear of frogs! I am terrified of dying before..........

my mom is my best friend, and I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack if I get too hot. Not fun!

This is very interesting. Dying before kids is a horrible thought. I can't even imagine life without my Mom. She is my greatest advocate and helper! She taught me how to be a mom, and even though I am not nearly as great as she is at it, I do owe her so much for instilling that in me!

Kudos to you for being so candid! Definitely continue to cherish every moment with your mom. I unfortunately had to face that fear several years ago and the memories are great to have...

I can relate to making phone calls. I have this overwhelming fear that people will judge me based on how I sound on the phone. To which, I think I sound like an idiot on the phone!
