As if my opinion counts.

I don't tend to get "too deep" in blog land, but for those who know me in real life-sometimes I just can't stop talking. [remember in Kindergarten my teacher called me Motor Mouth-it still applies today]

Yes, this is "old news" but it's still on my mind!

The Chris Brown // Rihanna Story
If I were a teeny bopper I would include "OMFG" here. And if Rihanna ever comes across my blog--here's my shoutout to her: What the hell are you thinking getting back with him? (I think this is like the 2nd time I cursed on my blog--but seriously. What the HELL. Okay, mark me down for 3.) I just don't get it--I also don't understand why her father didn't step in instead of saying "I support my daughter in whatever she chooses" So you support her with a 'boy' that beat her face?!? Seriously, her dad isn't even a man. Let some stupid boy put his hands on my daughter in an inappropriate manner and i'll make him wish he hadn't.been.born.

I used to volunteer in a women's shelter..and sadly, it is SO common for women to go back to their abusers. Whew. It's draining.

I've never understood that myself. I guess I wouldn't seeing that I have never personally been in that situation...and hopefully I never will.

I makes me really sad for her...

Like you said, it's a classic case of an abused woman. It's so frustrating because she's a role model for young women.

I hope all is well! Haven't seen you around in blogland lately!

It's such a sad story b/c 1. it happens all the time & 2. she's a role model for other young women.

I wonder if anyone in her life has told her she needs to leave his sorry a$$.

I like your new banner!

I think its really easy for all of us to judge the situation but we only really know whats been reported. i think there could lots more to the story.

That is just so sad.

it's sad that when $$ is involved that folks {i.e. her father} may just do whatever he can to make sure that he himself is supported...in a financial aspect that is...
i am with you though in that if any man ever put his hands on one of my ladies they better pray the police got to them before my husband did!

It's hard to understand, for sure. I can't even fathom it..

these three people are clearly not the brightest crayons in the box. one would think that you would learn common sense from an experience like that, but unfortunately they are not smart enough to comprehend this :(

I agree with you 100%! It is so frustrating, and look at the example she is setting to other young women, ahh!

I agree! I just read that they were "taking a break" now though, so we'll see how long that lasts.

I don't get why women go back to their abusers but then again, thankfully, I have never been in that situation either... so sad...

They are both just so young. They both really need to get help. It is so sad. And scary.

I heard today that they are broken up and "taking a break" from each other. I hope so.
